Our evolution

From Digital Platform Conductor to Agentic ITOps.

In 2021 Gartner described a new kind of tool: one that lets I&O leaders manage across their whole infrastructure, regardless of environment or location. ReadyWorks was built for exactly that problem. Five years and 26 Hype Cycle recognitions later, the same foundation puts AI to work on the estate.

The path

The category grew up around the platform.

Gartner coined the term, then tracked it across its Hype Cycles year by year. ReadyWorks was named from the first Market Guide onward, and kept building.

  1. 2021

Gartner coins the Digital Platform Conductor

Gartner describes the rise of tools that enable I&O leaders to manage strategically across their infrastructure, regardless of environment or location: one view across the estate, and the ability to act on it. ReadyWorks was already running that model for enterprise customers.

  2. 2022

Transformational in four Hype Cycles, and the first Market Guide

Gartner cites DPC tools as Transformational in the Hype Cycles for Agile and DevOps, I&O Automation, ITSM, and Monitoring, Observability and Cloud Operations. Its first Market Guide for Digital Platform Conductor Tools names ReadyWorks a Representative Vendor.

  3. 2023

    Six Hype Cycles

ReadyWorks is highlighted as a representative vendor in the Hype Cycle for Monitoring and Observability, and the Hype Cycle for Data Center Infrastructure Technologies becomes the sixth to cite the transformational capabilities of a DPC.

  4. 20242025

    The record builds

Recognition continues year over year in I&O Automation and in Monitoring and Observability, while the platform adds the application context layer, the workflow engine, and the first ReadyAI capabilities that would become the agentic platform.

  5. 2026

Four Hype Cycles, a new category, and Agentic ITOps

Named a Sample Vendor in the Hype Cycles for Infrastructure Platforms, I&O Automation, Monitoring and Observability, and AI in ITSM, where Gartner introduces Digital Workplace Operations Automation: platforms that sit one level above endpoint management, ITSM, identity, asset, security, and digital employee experience tools and use the data across them to automate and optimize operations. That is the layer ReadyWorks was built to be. The same year, ReadyAI and the harness around it make the platform the place where ReadyAI and your own agents work on the estate.

What changed, and what stayed

Same foundation. Agents on top.

What stayed

One source of truth across the tools you already run, application context on every decision, and a platform that is neutral across every vendor in the estate. The conductor idea, kept.

What changed

ReadyAI analyzes the estate, recommends and plans changes, and takes governed actions through the platform, with your approvals and a full audit trail. The work moved from dashboards to agents.

What opened up

Your own agents use the same foundation over MCP. The platform became the harness that makes any agent safe to run on the estate, and the reason Agentic ITOps starts with clean data.
